No. Your input is processed on your device using browser APIs and local code.

Will PNG restore details lost in AVIF compression?+

No. PNG stores the decoded pixels without further lossy compression, but it cannot reconstruct details already discarded by the source codec.

What are the limits?+

Requires browser AVIF decoding. Exports the primary still image; color profiles and metadata may change.
