Methodology and formulas
Each paver occupies a rectangular layout cell equal to its dimensions plus the user-entered joint. The tool divides area by cell area, then applies allowance and pack ceilings.
Every quantity is calculated from visible user inputs. The engine does not load live prices, hidden density tables, manufacturer presets, structural tables, or jurisdictional rules.
Worked example
The documented governing fixture produces 946 pieces after the user enters the current product’s pack size. Open the calculation steps to see the unrounded intermediate values before any whole-unit ceiling.
Measurement and input quality
Measure the finished project geometry, keep all inputs in the displayed units, and record where each product or project assumption came from. Do not substitute a loose-state material figure for a compacted-state figure. Keep supplier package yields and capacities tied to the exact product or delivery method.
